The Lakenvelder is an endangered, heritage breed, originating in Germany.
 
They are extremely attractive. I call them the 'Coco Chanels' of the chicken world. They are the flightiest of my breeds but excellent egg layers & foragers. Lakenvelders lay tinted-white medium sized eggs (120/year).
